Robinson Ranch Golf Club was a Public 36 hole golf facility located in Santa Clarita, California, 25 miles north of Los Angeles surrounded by the spectacular Angeles National Forest. The facility had two 18-hole golf courses, they are The Mountain Course and The Valley Course.
THE MOUNTAIN COURSE CLOSED in 2016.
The courses were designed by the father/son team of Ted Robinson and Ted Robinson Jr. The Mountain Course opened in February of 2000 and The Valley Course opened June of 2000.
Par for the Mountain Course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6508 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5076 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 532 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 153 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 398-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 15, a 388 yard par-4.
The two courses, the Mountain course, and the Valley course, take advantage of the natural terrain as they wind through untouched stands of the sage and chaparral, California Sycamores and Coastal Live Oaks.
The Mountain Course is like three courses in one with, desert, mountain and parkland design. Beautiful hillside scenery is complimented by desert landscape, cascading streams and sculpted tee boxes that lead to rolling, well-maintained fairways. The landing zones are usually ample, but some are tightly tree lined or constricted by the desert. The raised greens are medium-sized with mildly sloping putting surfaces, some multiple tiered.

Robinson Ranch golf course was in great condition. The rate I paid was a Resident rate for Monday/Tuesdays and was a bargain price for this level of golf in this area. I would not be as enthusiastic of the value had I paid the non-resident price.

There are two world class course's here. they have deals all the time to help with todays money problems. Other than a great place to play golf, you can't find a better place to have a wedding, or any special event. The food is 5 star all the way and the people go out of there way to make you feel right at home. If you never get out and see this golf course and play it, you are missing out.
